The beauty industry is now, officially, worth more than $500+ billion and on track to grow to $750 billion by 2024. Beauty companies have never been considered companies that are changing the world .But they are changing the dynamics of who’s in the boardroom. The Beauty industry has produced several unicorns, a Silicon Valley term used to describe start-ups valued at $1 billion or more. The difference is, most of the unicorns born from this industry are women led, Anastasia Beverly hills, Kylie Cosmetics and Glossier as opposed to those of the tech giants, OpenAI, Discord, Canva and WeWork.

The beauty industry is undoubtedly a women dominated industry, made by the women for the women. It comes with the glamour, show, female gaze and pomp. A secure safe place that makes women feel good. It makes sense why celebrities are tripping over their Louboutins to start, yet, another one. Empowering women such as Katrina Kaif, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Sia are famous people that decided to seek out and invest into this industry. Men have decided to follow the trend too, Manish Malhotra, Harry Styles and Brad Pitt, but this article isn’t about them.
