How to overcome a toxic friendship:


1. Remember that your feelings are valid. It is valid if you are feeling hurt by the way they treated you.


2. Feeling your emotions is quite uncomfortable. It could be anger for the way they treated you or sadness for the way the friendship ended. Do not neglect your feelings. It is important to feel and process your emotions.


3. We often seek closure but we might not receive it. Sometimes you can not find closure from someone else. It's important to realise that it comes from within.


4. It is hard to let go but how often do we realise that staying in the situation without any change will only make it harder.


5. Have self compassion for not knowing better. You are never too much or too little for the right people. Know your worth and do not settle for the bare minimum.
