"It is easier to take than it is to give."

 

 In an effort to promote literacy, in-still a love for reading, and bridge the educational gap, we at 13to19 aim to create a significant impact on individuals and communities, especially in underprivileged areas or regions lacking adequate educational resources.

 

Our project, "Building Libraries" exceeded expectations, with an overwhelming response from the community. Students, teachers, parents, and local residents wholeheartedly contributed their books, recognising the significance of the cause. We raised over 500 books in under 2 weeks.

 

We personally went and distributed the books where we shared our passion for reading, organized interactive storytelling sessions, and donated the books. The smiles on the faces of the children and the gratitude expressed by the trustees at Sunbeam Need India, Premaanjali Foundation and Child Fund Association inspire us to continue giving to the society. As Mahatma Gandhi said "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."
